Center for Well-Being Accreditation and Recognition
As the North Bay’s premier health education and wellness center, the Center for Well-Being strives to continue its tradition of excellence through offering a variety of health promotion programs as well through involvement in community health initiatives and advocacy efforts.
Recent Awards and Recognition:
American Diabetes Association (2005-2011)
The American Diabetes Association Recognizes the Northern California Center for Well-Being’s (ID# 004253) education service as meeting the National Standards for Diabetes Self-Management Education
Tobacco Control Evaluation Center (2005-2008)
The Northern California Center for Well-Being was recognized for its excellence in addressing the needs of Sonoma County’s Latino population in tobacco control.
Community Activity & Nutrition Coalition of Sonoma County
On the 10th anniversary of the Community Activity and Nutrition Coalition, members recognized the staff of the Northern California Center for Well-Being for their contribution to improve the nutrition and physical activity status of Sonoma County residents.
Congresswomen Lynn Woolsey – 6th District of California
On September 21, 2006, Congresswoman Lynn Woolsey presented the Center for Well-Being with a Certificate of Special Recognition for its 10th anniversary of serving Sonoma County with health education.
